What is Virgin Media TV?

Virgin Media TV is a digital TV service from Virgin Media, delivered over fibre optic cables. There are three Virgin TV packages you can sign up for, and all come with a wide range of TV channels and TV on demand. Virgin TV is the only TV service that lets you watch BBC iPlayer.

Virgin Media TV size M+: Over 45 digital TV channels including Virgin1, Five US, E4, Setanta Sports News, Five and UKTV History.

Virgin Media TV size L: Over 100 digital TV channels including LIVINGtv, and MTV, Virgin1, ITV2, E4, Film4, GOLD, Watch, LIVINGtv, The Discovery Channel, and Eurosport.

Virgin Media TV size XL: Over 160 digital TV channels including Setanta Sports, MTV, Nickelodeon, Virgin Central, ITV2, E4, Film4, GOLD, Watch, LIVINGtv, The Discovery Channel, and Eurosport. Virgin TV XL includes music video rental and TV Choice at no extra cost

The V set-top box is included with Virgin Media TV.

Or upgrade to the special V+ set-top box and service. With the V+ Service you can record, pause and rewind live TV, and record two programmes while watching a third programme.

And V+ is HD-ready, so if you have an HD-Ready TV (with an HDMI socket) you can start watching a selection of high definition movies on Virgin TV.  If your V+ Service breaks down, Virgin Media will fix it for free, whether or not it is still within warranty.

How much does Virgin TV cost?

Virgin Media TV size M+ is FREE if you take out the Virgin Size M phone package for £11.99 a month.
Virgin Media TV size L is £11 a month if you take out the Virgin Size M phone package for £11.99 a month, or £17 a month without a phone line.
Virgin Media TV size XL is £23 a month if you take out the Virgin Size M phone package for £11.99 a month or £29 a month without a phone line.

There is a £30 connection charge.

Currently the V+ HD Box installation is FREE with Virgin Media TV XL, and £49 for TV M+ and TV L. The V+ HD subscription is £5 a month with Virgin Media TV size M+ and Virgin Media TV size L. V+ HD subscription is FREE with Virgin Media TV size XL.

Where can I get Virgin TV?

You can sign up to Virgin Media TV on its own if you live in a Virgin Media cabled area.

Or you can subscribe to a Virgin Media bundle with broadband, Virgin Media TV and/or home phone online.
