sagem recorder DT67320 T : This recorder is magic ! How can this small neat recorder have so many capabilities ? I purchased it just a few weeks ago and im amazed at what it can do - and at a very affordable price as well. Several months ago I paid far more for a top brand recorder but the picture was far inferior to my previous £14 digibox ! Also, it only had one digital tuner which meant you could not watch one programme and watch another[if your tv is pre 2005], and when using the timer you had to switch it off or it would’nt record ! There were so many faults with the technology and the user manual was indiscernible.. .a complete nightmare. I got fed up and by pure chance I purchased this Sagem recorder at a reduced price at a top store. I took it out of the box and set it up in minutes..I could’nt believe how good the picture quality was and it can record 2 channels while you watch another. I can’t tell the difference on playback ..its that good ! There are so many features on this recorder it really is like stepping 20 yrs into the future ! There are unbelievably 10 different recording capabilities on this it, very briefly they are : 1-watch 1 channel and record another two. 2-pause and play. 3-deferred mode..the receiver AUTOMATICALLY records the previous 2 hours of the channel you are watching[which does not go on your list - unless you tell it to] 4-using the deferred mode you can record from any point you wish-even BEF OREthe point you pause ! 5-programme search-type in a category and the computer will find the list to match.6-timer record..manual or from the 8 day menu.7-you can record up to 2 hour periods by simply pressing the record button. 8-you can record a programme + pause live tv on another channel. 9-record a channel and play a recording from your list[hard drive has up to 160 hrs space]. 10-record a whole series. If you dont understand what some of the above features mean; well, I did’nt either until I read the user manual - which is easy to understand. I apologise if I sound like a Sagem salesman but it’s just that i’m truly over the moon with this great piece of technology ! My best advise to any one about to purchase a dvd recorder is dont be fooled by adverts proclaiming a recorder is state of the art technology no matter who the manufacturer is and also I was personally misinformed by at a top electrical store that my previous so called state of the art recorder would record a channel while watching another..when it did not have that capability. reviews on the internet will back up what I am saying regarding that particular model and many have referred to it as a £200 piece of junk ! I am over the moon now with my sagem recorder which has more than made up for my previous model that caused my a great deal of grief. I now use it for recording space.
