What is Apple TV?

Enjoy a world of entertainment with Apple TV. Just buy an Apple TV box and you can then rent or buy films (standard and in HD), TV programmes and series, music and music videos, podcasts and more.

Films: Choose from loads of films including the largest selection of HD (high definition) films to rent - from newly released blockbuster hits to popular classic films. When you rent an HD film you have 30 days to start watching. And just press Play and it’s yours to watch as many times as you want in 48 hours. You can also buy films, usually from the day they are released on DVD. Search by genres, actors name, director, and more. There are also parental controls so you can limit the type of films your children can rent and buy.

TV programmes: buy single episodes or a whole series (with a Season Pass). There are thousands of TV programmes to buy, including Greys Anatomy, Gavin and Stacey, and The Tudors. And you can buy and view most of your favourite TV programmes just a day after they air, advert-free!

Photos: With Apple TV you can also view your photos and access your Flickr or MobileMe galleries. And watch HD podcasts and YouTube videos.

Music and music videos: Play your iTunes music through your home theatre system. Choose from the eight million songs to buy on iTunes and listen to on Apple TV - search by genre, artist, song title or cover art. Sort your music by artist, year, and rating. Use the Genius feature to create great music playlists – Genius automatically looks at your iTunes library and creates a playlist of songs that go well together. You can also buy and watch music videos.
